Philadelphia & the Main Line

The cigar roller Philadelphia keeps just up the road.

A Center City ballroom, a Main Line club or a courtyard in the suburbs: the Opus X master roller lives just up the road and rolls every guest a cigar while they watch.

Your venue

A terrace, a courtyard, a stadium parking lot. Around Philadelphia, he has rolled in all three.

Hotels in Center City, clubs along the Main Line, barns out in Chester County: wherever yours is, picture his table by the door your guests use most.

The night

Philadelphia doesn’t throw quiet parties. Neither does his table.

Somebody always starts it — the groom, an uncle, sometimes the bride herself — and within minutes half the party is around his table, watching a tobacco leaf become a cigar. He rolls each one for the guest in front of him and hands it over finished.

Reviews from the people who sat at his table, in their own words.

Franklin sat down with my wife and I and enjoyed a cigar with us. He treated us like family and gave us hugs on our way out. Papo is the real deal with a heart of gold and a sense of humor that can make anyone laugh.

He comes down from Bethlehem early

He arrives with the humidors, the tobacco and the rolling board, and sets up by the bar, the terrace door or the edge of the dance floor — wherever the party will find him.

He’s the last one packing up

Long after the cake is cut he’s still rolling, so the guests who stayed late leave with one in their pocket.

Before you book

What Philadelphia hosts ask.

Yes. He lives in Bethlehem, up the Northeast Extension, and has rolled in Philadelphia for private parties and company nights. Load-in and parking are worked out with your venue when you book.
Gladly. Montgomery, Delaware, Chester and Bucks counties are close to home for him, and he has rolled a courtyard wedding in Blue Bell.
He has rolled out of the back of a van in the lot at Lincoln Financial Field, in the middle of an Eagles game. If there’s room for a table, he can make it work.
Brands like Tudor and Bell & Ross have had him at their events. For a company night, send him the guest count and he’ll put together a proposal.
With custom bands, yes — you choose them when you book. Couples put their names and the date on them; companies put their logo.

Send him the date and the venue. He’ll tell you how he’d set up the night.
