New York City & Long Island

Even New Yorkers stop to watch this cigar roller.

A Manhattan rooftop or a clubhouse in the Hamptons: the Opus X master roller makes every guest a cigar while they watch. In a city that has seen it all, they still gather.

Your venue

Rooftop, ballroom or a terrace by the water, his table fits the room you booked.

New York venues run on tight floor plans. All he needs is one six-foot table near the bar or the terrace door, and he’s ready before your first guest arrives.

The night

In a room full of New Yorkers, nobody gets a cigar out of a box.

He asks each guest how they like it — mild or full, short enough for one more drink — and rolls it while they watch. Somebody’s plus-one ends up trading stories with your oldest friend at his table, and that’s the part of the night they retell.

Choose custom bands when you book and each cigar leaves with your names, your date or your company’s logo on it.

Tough crowd. Warm words.

This is what people write the morning after they sat at his table.

Franklin sat down with my wife and I and enjoyed a cigar with us. He treated us like family and gave us hugs on our way out. Papo is the real deal with a heart of gold and a sense of humor that can make anyone laugh.

Send the date and the venue, wherever it is in the five boroughs or on the Island. You hear back the same day, and a deposit holds the date.

He’s set up before the doors open

Humidors, tobacco and the rolling board come with him from Bethlehem. Your venue only has to find him a table near the bar or the terrace.

He rolls until the last toast

When the room starts to thin out he’s still at it, rolling one more for whoever wants to take a piece of the night home.

Before you book

What New York and Long Island hosts ask.

Yes. He drives in from Bethlehem with everything his table needs, and he has already rolled on a terrace over the bay on Staten Island. Tell him the venue when you book and he works out the arrival with them.
All the way to the East End — he has worked a golf day at a club in Southampton. The North Shore and Nassau County are closer than that. The trip is settled with your date.
It’s one of the best settings for it. He needs a table out of the strongest wind, close to where people gather, and a little light once the sun goes down.
He has rolled at a casino resort event in New York and for brands like Hublot and Tudor elsewhere. For a company night, send the guest count and the format and he’ll put together a proposal.
Yes. Custom bands are an add-on you choose when you book: your names and the date for a wedding, your logo for a company night.

Send him the date and the address. He’ll tell you how the night will run.
